3PB’s criminal barrister Juliet Osborne has secured the conviction of an 83-year-old after a 4-day trial in Bournemouth Crown Court, involving allegations of sexual assault of an 18-year-old girl. Juliet was successful in her application to admit bad character evidence of the Defendant concerning an earlier, uncharged incident. The Defendant was convicted following Juliet's effective cross-examination, challenging his credibility and highlighting to the jury key differences between his police interview and his evidence at court....

3PB's criminal and public regulatory barrister, Graham Gilbert, after a four day trial, has successfully defended Paul Pressland of the allegation of strangling his (then) wife. It was alleged that Mr Pressland had, in a drunken row, strangled his wife after she threw a slipper at her him.
