Paul Newman, 3PB construction law member and mediator accepted a RICS invitation to join its new working party on the resolution of smaller construction disputes with a value of up to £50,000. This initiative stems from anecdotal evidence that contractors, particularly small and medium sized enterprises, are now deciding not to go to adjudication because the costs can often outweigh the sums in dispute. Tom Cox and Lisa Wilson of 3PB completed the Bristol Legal Walk on 26th September to raise much needed funds for local legal advice charities.
