June Venters KC honoured with Lifetime Achievement Award by Surrey Law Society

Family barrister and silk June Venters KCJune Venters KCCall: 2017Silk: 2006 won the SLS (Surrey Law Society) Lifetime Achievement Award last week at SLS' annual awards evening at G Live in Guildford. June is one of the foremost lawyers in the UK in public law child care, family law, international child abduction and crime and has acted in many of the most serious cases within these fields of law.

Headline sponsored by wealth management business Evelyn Partners, the SLS Legal Awards were returning for their sixth year and some 300 lawyers and guests celebrated the achievements of some of Surrey Law Society’s 1,100 members.

This Lifetime Achievement Award is given to an individual who has demonstrated an extraordinary contribution to the legal sector.

This award for June follows the news earlier this week from the 75th anniversary event for women silks, where the Lady Chief Justice paid tribute to June as being the first women solicitor to take silk. She is also shortlisted for Family KC of the Year at the Family Law Awards on 20 November.
