Gemma White becomes a Treasury Counsel Monitoree

3PB are delighted to announce that crime and regulatory barrister Gemma White has been appointed by Robert Courts KC MP HM Solicitor General, to the Treasury Counsel Monitoree Scheme, for a period of 3 years from 1 April 2024.
Treasury Counsel are a team of specialist advocates who prosecute many of the most serious and complex cases in the country, and advise and appear on behalf of the Law Officers and other government departments. Advocates are appointed as Monitorees through fair and open competition and, once appointed, they undertake a series of monitored cases.
Formerly a CPS in-house prosecutor, Gemma has been at the independent bar for over 10 years. She is now a Grade 4 Prosecutor, a Rape and Serious Sexual Offences Specialist and has a busy criminal defence and regulatory practice, particularly in trading standards and sports.
3PB congratulates Gemma on the professional achievement that this appointment represents, which runs in tandem with her other part-time role as a Deputy District Judge (Magistrates Court), a Mental Health Judge and a Recorder.
