Five 3PB barristers named on the inaugural Pro Bono Recognition List
20th June 2024
3PB Barristers (3 Paper Buildings) has seen five members of chambers - personal injury and military/police claims barrister Kim Wilson, commercial barrister Mariya Peykova, property/chancery and family barrister Rachel Bale, employment and discrimination barrister Robin Pickard and personal injury and clinical negligence barrister Richard Wheeler - named as members of the inaugural Pro Bono Recognition List of England and Wales by the Lady Chief Justice of England and Wales, Baroness Carr of Walton-on-the-Hill.
The Pro Bono Recognition List, published by the charity Advocate, recognises barristers and solicitors who gave at least 25 hours of pro bono legal assistance over the last year and is an initiative supported by the Law Society, the Bar Council and all the major pro bono organisations under the aegis of the Attorney General’s Pro Bono Committee. Many lawyers are offering substantially more than that and it follows the long tradition of the legal profession in volunteering their time to provide free legal assistance to individuals and charities.
This follows last month's news that 3PB were nominated as “Pro Bono Chambers of the Year” and commercial barrister Mariya Peykova was nominated for “Junior Pro Bono Barrister of the Year” at the Bar Pro Bono Awards.
