Professional negligence
3PB’s Property and Estates team advise and represent claimants, defendants and insurers in matters relating to alleged negligence by property professionals including; solicitors, barristers, conveyancers, construction professionals, surveyors, architects, estate agents and valuers.
We work with both the client and their insurers (if relevant), assisting with the progression and handling of claims, offering a perspective which gives clear, focused realistic advice about the issues of scope of duty, limitation, proof of breach of duty, causation and assessment. We continually asses prospects of obtaining a positive outcome, as well as quantifying damages throughout the case.
We assist at all stages of a claim from a preliminary consideration of the merits, drafting pre-action protocol correspondence and drafting statements of case, to representing clients either in ADR (mediation or settlement meetings) or court proceedings.
3PB also offers barristers with experience of other commercial and professional liability matters. Please see our Commercial group and Construction group for further information.
