This seminar will consider the fall out from the Carillion bankruptcy.

Speakers

Neil Maddocks, Managing Director of Undebt.co.uk:
"There is life after Carillion - Exploring ways to keep projects on track". In particular, Neil will cover:

• Using the insolvency rules to get information from the administrators/main contractors
• What is being offered in terms of help and the government position
• What can be done to assist businesses survive and continue post Carillion

James Davison, of 3PB Barristers, will consider whether anything is really going to change for the industry in consequence of the Carillion collapse and will offer an analysis of:

• Modern procurement choices and their influence on the disputes we see in practice
• The practical steps to take when a contractor has become insolvent to help the project survive
• The interplay of insolvency processes, adjudication and enforcement action
• Ultimately, is there anything different about the Carillion Crisis of 2018 or will it be the same story but with different names in 2025?
