28th June 2018
Aimee Fox has joined 3PB Barristers’ leading Education and Family law teams from St Ives Chambers. Called to the Bar in 2007, she is well-known as a specialist in education law and private law and family finance cases.
Aimee’s education practice sees her regularly appear in the First Tier Tribunal. She acts for all parties including local authorities, schools, parents and young people.
Aimee’s education experience includes judicial reviews; discrimination and equalities claims; special educational needs; prosecutions for non-attendance at school (including in the Crown Court and High Court); appeals concerning permanent exclusion and clerking Permanent Exclusion Review Panels; appeals against decisions of the First-Tier Tribunal and disputes concerning local offers.
Aimee’s education law practice enables her to particularly excel in family proceedings involving children with SEN, disability or mental health diagnoses and their related schooling needs. Her experience cross-examining health professionals and therapists as well as teachers is second to none.
In her family practice, Aimee represents parents, children and grandparents at all stages of private law cases. She often acts in complex disputes involving abuse, domestic violence and parental alienation. Aimee also has experience of national and international relocation cases.
Her thriving family finance law practice enables her to advise on the financial aspects of relationship breakdown and consequential arrangements for children. She often represents parties in cases involving inherited wealth or pre- or post- relationship acquired assets. Some of the more complex matters Aimee has led on have involved the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002 and personal injury.
Aimee’s clients praise her for her thoroughness and determination.
This is the latest in a string of successes and recruits for 3PB’s highly-regarded Family Team, which now has 4 Silks and 64 Juniors nationally. 3PB’s Education Law team welcomes its 12th Junior, further strengthening a team that consistently wins the praises of its clients.
3PB Head of Education Charlotte Hadfield and 3PB Head of Family Hamish Dunlop said: “We are very pleased that Aimee has decided to join our growing education and family teams. The strength of her experience in both education and family law will prove invaluable to our clients in London and nationally”.
