Conor Mullan joins Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence teams
1st November 2021
Conor Mullan has joined 3PB and will continue to specialise in personal injury, clinical negligence and inquests. A former criminal law barrister, he joins from another London set where he also built up a strong regulatory practice in health and safety and coronial law. He has been longstanding panel-approved counsel for the insurance sector, conducting serious injury cases on behalf of all the major insurers and their preferred defendant law firms.
Dual-qualified in Northern Ireland and England and Wales, he enjoys a well-established practice in both jurisdictions. His practice in Northern Ireland is predominately High Court civil law claims and appeals.
Conor recently appeared in the Court of Appeal of Saint Helena, utilising his extensive background in serious criminal trials, to represent a senior medical practitioner against the Attorney General of Saint Helena. The case follows a complex criminal investigation on the island about potential criminal charges following treatment of his client's former patients. The appeal looked at the Caribbean island's Supreme Court ruling on the arrest and subsequent bail without charge of the accused. He also successfully acted in civil proceedings relating to an injunction on leaving the island arising out of allegations of clinical negligence, which ran parallel to this appeal case.
Michelle Marnham, Head of 3PB's Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence teams, said: We are all delighted at 3PB to welcome Conor as a member of chambers. He is a very experienced advocate with a proven track record who will be a real asset to our teams."
