Berenice Mulvanny successfully defended a man of good character charged with rape of a 16 year old and rape of a 12 year old. Both allegations were non recent and involved young witnesses and extensive complaint evidence. The defendant had significant mental health vulnerabilities which required adaptations to the trial process. The Jury returned unanimous verdicts of not guilty on all counts after a six day trial. East Sussex County Council v JC Lachlan Wilson recently represented the parents of a young man with significant mobility impairments before the Upper Tribunal. The dispute related to the provision and use of a powered wheelchair. Mr Wilson argued for the parents that the wheelchair provided as much education and training to their son, “W”, as a communications device; he had to learn how to use the powered wheelchair and exercise independent decision making about where and when he wished to go....

Former British army soldier, Frankie Wood will be boxing at the Bournemouth International Centre on Saturday 7 April in boxing matches to raise money for Cancer Research. Three London drug dealers were jailed for more than 30 years each today following unanimous convictions for attempted murder. 3PB Barristers Adam Feest QC, who heads its Crime Team, led Jodie Mittell for the Prosecution in the six-week trial at Winchester Crown Court. In Nicholls v The Ambassador Theatre Group, Luke Ashby successfully defended an appeal and secured a finding that the Claimant reasonably exited the EL/PL Portal and should escape the associated costs regime.
