Overview

Zahra Tierney is a specialist in property law (particularly residential landlord and tenant issues), commercial law and general civil litigation, based at our Oxford office. Zahra successfully completed her 12-month pupillage with 3PB in April 2025.

Before joining 3PB, Zahra worked as a paralegal at two London-based law firms specialising in litigation. She gained extensive experience in civil and commercial litigation across all tracks, as well as handling cases involving property disrepair. During her work as a paralegal, Zahra managed various caseloads independently, preparing Letters of Claim, court pleadings, bundles and witness statements. She also reviewed expert evidence and disclosure, wrote case summaries, and drafted application notices and chronologies. Zahra defended evictions and presented submissions in requests for review of local authorities' decisions. Additionally, she assisted a senior litigator with a multi-track fatal personal injury claim, as well as other high-value claims.

Zahra holds a first-class degree and possesses a highly analytical and logical mind. She has demonstrated her passion for advocacy from a young age, advocating in Parliament for the Arbitration and Mediation Services (Equality) Bill as a teenager and recently making submissions in a child-custody case review. She has received scholarships and awards for her accomplishments.

In her free time, Zahra enjoys henna art, painting and illustrating.
