Agricultural & Equine Law

Oliver is one of the leading Equine Law barristers on the Midland Circuit, being frequently instructed on behalf of horse riders, owners and businesses providing services to the equestrian world.

He is instructed in Agricultural matters where there are contractual disputes and property claims, in particular in connection with agricultural tenancies.

Commercial Litigation

Beyond Practice

Oliver is involved in a number of initiatives to improve equality, diversity and access at the Bar. He sits on the Midland Circuit Social Mobility Committee and regularly speaks on the Sutton Trust's Pathways to Law programme.

Oliver mentors through Lincoln’s Inn and the Future Bar Programme at DeMontfort Law School. He also established the Jeffers-Nunn Award at Leicester Law School, which provides financial support and mentoring in the form of a scholarship to aspiring Barristers from backgrounds which are underrepresented in the profession.

He is a qualified Advocacy Trainer for both Lincoln’s Inn and the Midland Circuit.

Appointed as a Deputy District Judge on the Midland Circuit in September 2021, Oliver was also made an Honorary Associate Professor at the University of Leicester in 2022, where he lectured both Public and Contract Law.
