Overview
Danielle Gotts St. Clair was called to the Bar in 2021 by the Honourable Society of Gray’s Inn. During the currency of her pupillage, Danielle was named a Ann Goddard Scholar by Gray's Inn, having also received the Nottingham Law School Dean’s List Scholarship for Outstanding Achievement. Danielle joined 3PB in October 2024.
Danielle maintains a busy practice in both civil and regulatory law with a strong focus on housing and anti-social behaviour.
Danielle’s civil practice covers a wide range of housing and property-related cases and advisory work, including possession proceedings, warrant suspensions, injunction applications, disrepair claims and matters involving disputes around tenancy deposit protection.
Danielle is regularly instructed to act on behalf of Local Authorities and Police Services across the Midlands in respect of a range of civil applications and related appeal hearings. She has significant experience dealing with a variety of protective and prohibitive orders including Sexual Risk Orders, Domestic Violence Protection Orders, Stalking Protection Orders, Sexual Harm Prevention Orders, Closure Orders, Anti-Social Behaviour Injunctions and Community Protection Notice Appeal Hearings. Additionally, Danielle conducts hearings relating to Account Freeing Orders and Cash Seizure and Forfeiture under the Proceeds of Crime Act.
Danielle has experience dealing with a variety of regulatory offences involving animals and animal welfare, as well as experience providing both advice and representation in respect of proceedings relating to firearms licensing and HMO licensing issues.

She represents both landlords and tenants, handling preliminary hearings and trials, particularly in cases involving allegations of anti-social behaviour or those which involve complex technical defences.
Danielle's practice includes dealing with committal proceedings for contempt of court, relating to breaches of ASB injunctions and other orders under the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014.
Danielle is available for instruction for court advocacy, as well as to provide legal advice and to draft written pleadings. She has extensive experience acting on behalf of the Police and Local Authorities in application hearings and breach proceedings relating to various forms of anti-social behaviour.

Danielle Gotts St. Clair has a busy police law practice, dealing with Stalking Protection Orders; Sexual Risk Orders; Sexual Harm Prevention Orders; Firearms Licensing; Closure Orders and Community Protection Notice (CPN) Appeal Hearings as well as acting for both the Police and Revenue & Customs in proceedings aiming to recover assets that form the proceeds of crime.
Danielle also accepts instructions from Local Authorities to apply for Closure Orders and to provide representation at CPN appeal hearings, including appeals against conviction and sentence in the Crown Court.
Animal welfare
Danielle’s practice also involves a range of legal work surrounding animals and animal welfare, both in an advisory capacity – taking part in research projects surrounding animal welfare legislation and its enforcement, and as an advocate – prosecuting on behalf of the RSPCA and Local Authorities for offences relating to animal cruelty and neglect. Danielle has experience acting for Prosecuting Authorities in cases involving animal breeding licences and the associated Regulations.
Danielle is a member of A-law (the UK Centre for Animal Law) and a member of the associated Animal Lawyers Network. She welcomes instructions surrounding animals and animal law.
