Christopher Edwards speaks at the PNBA "Advocacy and Appeals" seminar
23rd April 2025

Commercial and construction barrister Christopher Edwards (pictured here) was one of the speakers at the Professional Negligence Bar Association (PNBA) "Advocacy and Appeals" seminar, alongside Selena Plowden KC and HHJ Blohm KC, the Designated Civil Judge for Avon Somerset and Gloucester, based in Bristol.
The seminar was organised for both professional negligence and clinical negligence practitioners and looked at appeals from the County Court through to the Supreme Court, and heard insights on advocacy in clinical negligence cases.
Chris' talk was entitled "Appeals - Judges, Wrongness and Professional Negligence" or "Why Barristers only have to be Reasonably Competent, but Judges always have to be Right!" Chris has particular expertise in professional negligence disputes over work done by solicitors and construction professionals, including surveyors and architects, and has a wealth of experience in litigation, mediation and settlement of these claims.
