Employment and discrimination barrister Michael Smith joins 3PB

3 Paper Buildings (3PB) is delighted to announce that senior employment and discrimination barrister Michael SmithMichael SmithCall: 2009 (2009 call) has joined chambers from another well-known London chambers.

Michael is an experienced barrister who advises on the full range of employment disputes including unfair dismissal, constructive dismissal, discrimination, whistleblowing, breach of contract and restrictive covenants. His busy caseload covers a broad range of market sectors and Michael has undertaken both claimant and respondent work for clients, assisting both employees and individuals, small and medium sized businesses as well as UK FTSE listed companies, international corporations, local authorities and NHS Trusts.

Regularly appearing in multi-day hearings at the Employment Tribunal and the Employment Appeal Tribunal, Michael also has an excellent advisory practice such as developing and updating HR policies and drafting and advising on employment contracts. Michael has a specialist  practice representing recruitment and employment agencies in tribunal claims, and is the author of "Employment Agencies, Recruitment Agencies and Agency Workers – A Practical Guide to the Law" (LexisNexis).
