3PB civil law barrister Kim WilsonKim WilsonCall: 2022, who specialises in personal injury and military/police claims, has become a member of chambers and will work from 3PB’s Birmingham office. Kim has a vast array of experience well beyond his 2022 year of call, with expertise across military and policing activities, giving him an in-depth knowledge of these systems and a true eye for detail.

Kim’s recent caseload has seen him undertake a range of personal injury and negligence claims. He is regularly instructed on matters across the fast-track and multi-track, including trials, CCMC, CMC and PTR’s. His notable cases include JW v CCMP (2024), where he was acting for the Claimant during a multi-track trial before a jury and the dispute was heard over 8 days. The claims in the case included assault and battery and false imprisonment. This places Kim among the small number of civil law barristers with jury trial experience.

During his pupillage, Kim has also experienced the full range of Court Martial hearings, including a trial before the newly legislated six-member Court Martial board, and a three-day summary Appeals Court case, which attracted significant public interest. He worked as a junior to King’s Counsel and a Senior Junior advocate, highly experienced in Court Martial cases, providing Kim with excellent experience in the jurisdiction and his wider practice.

Kim can also be instructed through the Direct Access Scheme and is happy to discuss potential cases with clients without obligation. He was also recently named as a member of the inaugural Pro Bono Recognition List of England and Wales by the Lady Chief Justice of England and Wales, Baroness Carr of Walton-on-the-Hill.
