The Rt Hon Michael Tomlinson KC is featured in this issue’s popular “60-Seconds With” segment in which industry experts answer a series of quick-fire questions, giving readers an insight into their thoughts on and beyond their work. In his interview, published on page 10, Michael discusses both his legal and parliamentary careers, trends in practice, personal and professional goals and anecdotes.

Christopher Edwards and pupil barrister Emily Hayward have collaboratively authored an article entitled “Company Law – A Year in Review”. In their article, which can be found on pages 8-9, Christopher and Emily use real-world case studies to explore the impact of the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act 2023 and how the increased powers to Companies House could lead to reform within company law.
