3PB recruits employment and personal injury barrister Grace Boorer
26th June 2020
We are delighted to announce that Grace Boorer (formerly of Old Square Chambers) has joined 3PB Barristers (3 Paper Buildings) and will be based in our Oxford office. Called to the Bar in 2016 in the top 10 of her cohort, Grace Boorer is a barrister who specialises in employment and discrimination, personal injury and clinical negligence disputes.
Grace is a busy and successful employment and discrimination counsel, acting for both claimants and respondents in preliminary and final hearings in the Employment Tribunal as well as drafting and advising on the full range of employment disputes and issues. This includes unfair dismissal and discrimination cases, redundancy issues and contractual payments, including notice and holiday pay.
Grace has also built up a strong personal injury practice and has represented parties in CCMCs in multi-track cases and appeared on behalf of interested parties in Inquests. She obviously also regularly appears in fast track trials on behalf of both claimants and defendants, involving RTAs, occupier’s liability and accidents at work. She is also frequently instructed to attend interim applications, draft pleadings and advise on liability and quantum.
Grace is counsel on the GLD’s junior junior scheme and is currently instructed by them to undertake work in relation to the Windrush Compensation Scheme. She has also been instructed as the Junior Legal Adviser to the Independent Inquiry set up to review the circumstances surrounding the malpractice of surgeon Ian Paterson.
Grace Boorer adds further strength to the profile of our recognised Employment and Personal Injury teams in Oxford and nationally. Welcoming Grace to the two teams, Craig Ludlow, Head of 3PB’s Employment and Discrimination Group, said "we are delighted that Grace is joining us. She is one of the brightest and best juniors at the employment and personal injury Bars at the moment, and already has the client skills to be a great addition to the team in Oxford and nationally. We are all very much looking forward to working with her."
