3PB welcomes family barrister Komal Patel

3 Paper Buildings (3PB) is delighted to welcome family barrister Komal Patel [2016 call] from Senate House Chambers in Northampton, who earlier had established a successful practice on the South-East Circuit.

Komal PatelKomal PatelCall: 2016, pictured here, has a busy practice in family disputes (private and public law children), often involving complex facts and serious allegations of domestic abuse, and also has a strong practice focused on matrimonial finance. She has an interest in cases involving mental health needs and cultural conflict.

Before coming to the Bar, Komal was an advocate in a national firm of solicitors, working in mental health law. She regularly appeared in the first-tier tribunal on behalf of patients detained under a variety of provisions, and the focus of her practice was on complex cases concerning patients in forensic services.

Komal will be joining former Senate House colleagues Kate Yeomans [2007 call] and Ayesha Bell-Paris [2012 call] who both started with 3PB in September.
