3PB increases its annual pupillage award to £60,000

National chambers 3PB (3 Paper Buildings) has increased its annual pupillage award for its current recruitment for 2026 to £60,000 from £40,000, joining other prominent barristers’ chambers in announcing increases this year.

This comprises a £30,000 grant and £30,000 in guaranteed earnings, paid monthly in advance. Additional benefits are valued at approximately £17,000 and include Private Health Insurance, IT support with discounts on technology, and access to online legal resources (LexisNexis PSL+, Lexis+ Ai, Westlaw and PLC).

The full-service chambers - with six offices in London and across the Midlands, Western and South East Circuits - which now has over 270 barristers, is offering pupillage places to four trainee barristers in 2026, to start in either April or October 2026.  These opportunities are:

  • London - Property
  • London – Personal Injury
  • Bournemouth - Family
  • Winchester - Criminal work including Regulatory Crime

In 2025, 3PB will welcome four new pupil barristers with Simon Haywood (Regulatory/Education, Birmingham), Eaindra Cho (Employment, Bristol), Liam O’Shaunessy (Employment, Winchester) and Barry McTaggart (Civil, London) starting their twelve-month pupillages.
