3PB are proud to announce two more Recorder appointments

3PB property and financial remedies barrister Louise Worton and criminal law barrister Daniel Sawyer have today both been appointed Recorders in the announcement today, 7 October 2020, from the Courts and Tribunals Judiciary.

Louise WortonLouise WortonCall: 2000 (call: 2000) will be sitting on the South Eastern Circuit dealing with Family matters. Louise has also recently been appointed as a part-time judicial office holder in the First Tier Tribunal, in the South Eastern area, sitting in the Social Entitlement Chamber.

Daniel Sawyer (call:2001) will sitting on the Western Circuit and will be dealing with Crime.

Louise Worton is a highly respected barrister with a particular emphasis on property and matrimonial finance. She is Deputy Head of 3PB's Property and Estates Group and her work covers both residential and commercial property and includes advising, drafting and advocacy. Her broad practice extends to Court Of Protection, with a natural emphasis on property and financial affairs. Her matrimonial finance caseload sees her undertake First Appointments, Financial Dispute Resolutions and Final Hearings. She deals with family finance upon separation and her cases include financial provision on divorce, Trusts of Land Act applications and Schedule One applications for children. Louise is also an accredited mediation advocate.

Daniel Sawyer is a criminal law specialist who is instructed in the full range of criminal cases, including murder, serious violence, sexual offences and multi-handed conspiracies, as well as causing death by dangerous or careless driving.  He is also regularly instructed in serious sexual offences, particularly with young or vulnerable witnesses. He deals with a range of regulatory offences, including planning enforcement (in the Crown Court and Court of Appeal), food hygiene and tachograph offences. He also has a specialist practice in representing current and former members of HM Armed Forces in military law and court martial cases.
