3PB expands Personal Injury team
8th May 2017
3PB has strengthened its rapidly expanding Personal Injury team with the addition of James Trumble and Luke Ashby.
The duo join a 38-strong personal injury team at 3PB who are recruiting heavily to meet substantial new volumes of work after winning further key roles with large insurance companies.
Both barristers specialise in defendant work and have significant experience in the Personal Injury field.
James Trumble joins the London Chambers from Field Court Chambers. Prior to that he held an in-house solicitor role at City firm Ince & Co where he worked for six years, specialising in heavyweight personal injury cases for defendants. He now concentrates on personal injury and police law.
He has conducted a number of inquests as a result of his personal injury and police law practice. He frequently undertakes credit hire work, and has sat as a mediator on a vast variety of disputes.
As well as working with solicitors, James is a qualified Direct Public Access barrister receiving instructions directly from the public or other professionals outside of solicitors.
Joining James in the personal injury team, Luke Ashby has moved to 3PB from Kings Bench Chambers.
Based in Bournemouth, Luke is a personal injury specialist who was called to the Bar in 2007. He previously held a senior role at a national firm of UK solicitors and brings his expertise in cases involving allegations of fraud, credit hire and costs to the 3PB team.
Luke acts in a range of personal injury matters from road traffic collisions to occupiers’ liability claims and assaults at work. He has acted in cases involving serious injuries and diseases such as chronic pain syndromes, permanent physical and psychological injuries and transmission of HIV.
Luke’s experience includes fast and multi-track trials but also extends to appeals, applications and costs and case management hearings.
