Jane Foulser McFarlane
Jane regularly advises on intellectual property cases including copyright, trademarks, and design rights. She advises and represents clients on a range of issues, including:
- Advising a Local Authority on the registration of a series of trademarks
- Advising in opposition proceedings brought by a well known national company.
- Advising the Welsh Assembly Commission in respect of IP matters
- Advising a Local Authority in relation to a threatened copyright action, arising out of the use of photographs in their tourist brochures
Jane was appointed as Lead Counsel for the Welsh Assembly Commission for IP matters in 2008. She is currently studying part time for my PhD in Exeter University and her thesis is based upon Copyright Reform.
Jane is a specialist personal injury barrister who advises both claimants and defendants in a broad range of issues including catastrophic injury, employer’s liability, occupiers and public liability, motorcycle accidents and highway claims.
