Edward is a common law barrister specialising in Business and Commercial, Property and Chancery, Personal Injury and Education Law. Please see individual profile pages to the left for details of his expertise.
Prior to joining chambers Edward pursued an internship at Freedom Chambers in Trinidad. On his return he worked for two leading law firms gaining experience in personal injury, contract, nuisance and property damage cases. As a result he appreciates the concerns and needs of lay and professional clients and has an excellent working knowledge of the civil legal process from pre-action to final hearing and enforcement.
Edward has a busy court practice, appearing before the high court, county court and various tribunals on a near daily basis. He provides advice and drafts legal documents in all his practice areas. Edward is also Direct Access licensed and is happy to act for members of the public and SMEs without a solicitor in appropriate cases.
Outside of chambers Edward is an endurance sport enthusiast. He will usually be found in a lake or river and has completed several iconic swims including the Strait of Gibraltar and the Dart 10k. He is a member of OxfordTri (triathlon club) and treasurer of the Oxford Young Professionals Society. He plays double bass and piano and enjoys an eclectic mix of music, from swing and funk to electronica and drum & bass.
