We have a large team of experienced practitioners in personal injury and clinical negligence litigation.

Members of the Personal Injury Group conduct cases at every level from the simplest to the most complex, high-value claims. Clients include both claimants and defendants, generally insurance companies. Most members will act under conditional fee arrangements in appropriate cases.

Many members of Chambers have experience in clinical negligence. We are able to offer expertise over the whole range of clinical negligence cases, including surgeons and hospital physicians, general practitioners, dental surgeons, nurses and midwives and other healthcare specialisms such as ophthalmics.

3PB barristers have acted in heavier clinical negligence matters such as brain damage cases and are familiar with claims which include Court of Protection and receivers' fees. We are experienced in cases at all levels of seriousness.

Nicholas Braslavsky QC specialises in clinical negligence, particularly orthopedic, obstetric, gynecological, intensive care, anesthetics, vascular, accident and emergency, ophthalmic, ENT and neurology; and all aspects of personal injury.

Members are involved in medical regulation. Several are legal assessors and advisers to bodies such as the General Medical Council, the General Dental Council and the General Osteopathic Council. Richard Tyson appears regularly to present cases for the General Medical Council before its Fitness to Practise Panels.

Louis Weston is currently instructed in a number of the PIP implant cases and has been involved in cases dealing with prosthetics and misrepresentation of efficacy of medicines and vaccines.

Hamish Dunlop’s recent important cases have involved: failures in GP referrals leading to: cauda equina lesions; subarachnoid haemorrhage; and limb amputations.  His claims against Hospital specialists have included; A&E Departments; obstetrics; orthopaedic and general surgery.  He also undertakes product liability claims.  Hamish is experienced in claims involving: housing requirements; lifetime care and complex dependency claims.  As an ancillary relief practitioner, he has a particular specialism for dependency claims by wives; partners and children.  He sits as a legal assessor for the Nursing and Midwifery Council Disciplinary Committees.

Peter Jennings has written on civil procedure and is an editor and author of Facts and Figures: Professional Negligence Bar Association Tables for the Calculation of Damages.

Nicholas Leviseur has an interest in cases where the issue of quantum involves considerable legal or factual complexity.
